Building and rehabilitation of computer laboratories is necessary in most schools in the slums.

Why the slums?

With the rapid rural to urban migration many of the rural migrants find themselves in the slums due to the lower cost of living in the slums. This is where majority of the population is found yet this is where little investment is put into education. Schools are overcrowded and lack amenities.

Uzima Aid is committed to bring the slum children to par in education with the well-to-do schools. The disparity is currently huge and evident.

Advantages of introducing E-learning in the slums

  • E-learning increases competency and self-esteem of students
  • E-learning boosts Cognitive ability of students

How we do it?

With the support of partners, we donate computers (used and new) to needy schools in the slums. In some schools, we build new computer laboratories while in others we rehabilitate what is available.
